Flashback

Guest Susan Powell is back with a card filled with nostalgia!

Susan water colored each of the images from the Totally Retro stamp set with Tombow Dual Brush Pens on mixed media paper. The white on white die cut background adds interest without distracting from all the fun.

Hi Friends! My name is Susan and I LOVE to make cards.

I have been creative in some form or other my whole life but when I found cardmaking around 2012 something clicked and I’ve been making cards ever since. I am an equal opportunity card maker lol – which just means I don’t stick to one style of card.  Thankfully my husband understands my need to be creative because I even take card making supplies with us when we travel.

I am thrilled and honored to be guest designing for Your Next Stamp over the next few weeks. I hope you enjoy the cards I’ve made to share with you.

Susan’s first card features a trio of minis in a festive winter scene.

Susan used Prismacolor Pencils for the critters, oxides for the background, Tombow Dual Brush Pens for the lights and CPD for the holly.

Ornament Time

Sylvie @kaliscards is kicking off the week with a Christmas card using the Magical Holiday Moments stamp set.

Sylvie features all 3 vignettes, using the ornament die around one and simply using the topper from the die for the other 2 to give the illusion of different sized ornaments.

Tree Ornament

Sam Olden adds an ornament to a card on today’s creation. The Winter Scenes Ornament set is used to make an ornament featuring a scene created with the Holiday Magic stamp set.

The ornament swings in front of a green background topped with pine branches.

Sam makes it easy to remove the ornament from the card by attaching it with silver tape.

Are you starting to get in the Christmas crafting spirit?
