For my hop project I decided to feature the super sweet new In Vogue stamp Isabel

I think I made her hair a little too puffy but I colored it last so there was no going back…let’s just say that a hot and humid day made her hair all big and puffy. *grin*
Fun Fact – this stamp is named after my darling little 5 year old niece since it was her idea to have Penny create a fruit and vegetable girl! CUTE!
I also used the Fishtail Banner die and Thank You sentiment from the Lilah stamp set and I’m giving you a little peek at one of the new border dies coming out later this month! FUN!
Congratulations! You’ve reached the end of the hop! Thank you so much for celebrating with us! Before you go remember to leave me a comment and then hop off to the YNS Store to take advantage of all the amazing birthday deals!!!

Happy Stamping!

Very Exciting News!

Honestly, I don’t even know where to begin…hmmm

Let’s go back 4 years ago today, Aug 6 2009, it was the day before the YNS website launch. After a year of hard work the big day was finally here and I was so over the top excited to introduce the world to Your Next Stamp! I don’t expect anyone to understand the amount of work it takes to start a stamping business or keep it going, don’t worry I’m not going to bore you with all the details because what really matters is YOU, my amazing YNS fans! THANK YOU for all your love and support! It’s all of you that keep the excitement alive here at YNS and make it possible for me to keep bringing you exciting new stamps and dies! You truly are an amazing bunch of creative individuals who motivate and inspire me every single day! I’ve always said that YNS is driven by hard work and passion for what I do, I wouldn’t have all this drive and passion if it wasn’t for all of you and my loving supportive family who allow me to work crazy hours and never complain when all I do is yap about YNS from morning to night! xoxo

Now let’s talk about this exciting NEWS I mentioned in the title of this post, shall we?

You may have noticed that we normally bring you our blog hops and new releases on the 22nd of the month but since tomorrow we are celebrating Your Next Stamp’s 4th birthday and we have something very special planned!

Over 4 years ago (that’s right before YNS even opened) I contacted an illustrator asking for some exclusive designs for YNS. Unfortunately, for YNS, she was locked into a contract with another company at the time so we could not work together and decided to say in touch. We touched base over the years and finally were able to work together in 2013!

I can’t even begin to express my excitement to finally introduce you to our newest YNS Illustrator…Oh my gosh, I’ve been waiting over 4 years for this…drum roll please…

Please help me welcome Penny Johnson to YNS!

Here are a few words from Penny about herself and her company Omnia Designs…

Omnia Designs Ltd is a family business run by husband and wife team, Laurence Attrill and Penny Johnson. They have one studio assistant – Desmond the cat.

Penny is a commercial artist, designer and illustrator, she loves experimenting with colour and creating artworks spontaneously, as well as designing to commission for publishers and manufacturers. Penny produces work in a wide range of styles including cute, quirky, vintage retro, abstracts and florals, she specializes in character development for a variety of products such as stamps, children’s books, greeting cards, toys, packaging, as well as bespoke artwork to commission. She draws and paints in Photoshop using a wacom pen and tablet as well as traditional media such as watercolours and pencils.

Laurence is a designer maker, he also takes care of the computers and administration at Omnia Designs.

Working from their studio and office at home is a lifestyle; even when Penny and Laurence are not actually at their desks, Omnia Designs is always present and they continually gain inspiration and new ideas from everything they do.

Laurence makes music, and is a talented joiner, to relax he enjoys driving round the local countryside.

Penny enjoys cooking and socializing with her friends, she likes swimming and loves the sea, and says that the best, most enjoyable job she has ever had is being a Mum.

Penny is an amazing lady and a pleasure to work with, I’ve truly enjoyed getting to know her and I can’t wait to share her new YNS collection with you! I won’t leave you without a peek so here’s a preview of the new stamp line…

Be sure to stop by tomorrow for our very special Birthday Blog Hop Celebration!

Stampy hugs!
