Anything But a Card ~ getting organized!

Hey everyone!  Peggy here with the final week of YNS’ ABC design team feature!  I hate looking through stacks of cardstock trying to find just the right colour, or being out doing some crafty shopping and not sure if I have a colour or not so I made up a cute and fun little cardstock sampler using the awesome Stitched Fishtail Tags Two dies!

And on the back of each one I have written down the brand and colour for quick reference when doing blog posts or shopping!

I am also working on one for all my ink colours as well, so far I have just done my Memento Inks.  For the circle of ink I used the solid circle stamp  from the Kup Topper Set Two stamp set.
I hope you have enjoyed!  Happy stamping!

Anything But a Card | Bagalopes for Treats

Happy Monday, YNS friends!

It’s Thanh here today and I’m going to kick start your creative week by showing you a project that is NOT a card! Gasp. I want to show you that YNS stamps are not only for cards and scrapbooking, but also making other fun 3-D projects.

I had a few friends over the other day for a gathering. I served popcorn as one of the items to eat, but I didn’t feel like putting a bowl of popcorn out would justify this chic party. I came up with the idea that I wanted to make little bags of popcorn and serve them individually! Bagalopes made the perfect popcorn bags because I always have envelopes in my craft stash and I could decorate them any way!

Here are the YNS products I used for today’s projects:

Here are some closer shots of the popcorn bags; I used the smaller polka dots and stamped them multiple times on the white bagalope and then stamped the sentiment on the tag:

Do you have a party coming up – these would be perfect! Or if you’re frugal like I can be – these cost nothing as you already have them in your stash.

Thanks for dropping by and I hope you have a fab week!

ABC… Anything But a Card!

Hi all!  It’s Maureen here and welcome to my installment of the Anything But a Card series.  Today I decided to go a little old school and break out the coasters I bought forever ago and still have a ton left!  I made a little faux clipboard:

Notepad4

Here’s what you’ll need:

Notepad1

Stamp set(s) of choice – I used Flourishes and Overdue Library Card Set (not pictured); a 4×4” piece of patterned paper plus a little scrap; a 3×3” paper pad; a 4×4” coaster and a medium clip.

First I stamped a flourish all over the edges of the big patterned paper piece in yellow ink to match the little scrap.

Notepad2

Next I glued the piece to the coaster and used a nail file to sand off the corners to match.  I glued the scrap of patterned paper to the clip and stamped a sentiment from the Library Card set to the bottom of the paper pad.

Notepad3

When you put it all together, it looks like a mini clipboard:

It was so fun to revisit an old coaster project from the past!  I hope you liked it and thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!  ~Maureen

ABC… Anything But a Card!

Happy Monday everyone! Laura here with another project for our Anything But a Card series.
With the freedom to make anything, I decided to make MONSTER COOKIES! 🙂
Seriously… I wish I could share these with all the YNS fans. I got the recipe years ago when I was teaching, and it has been a family favorite ever since. But, since I can’t send every one of you a cookie, I’ll share the next best thing… the recipe!
I stamped the Recipe Card stamp onto white cardstock, then I got out my Silly Monsters set, and used the “Monster Hugs” sentiment to stamp the name of the recipe. I masked off the word “hugs”, and stamped “Monster” in Memento Tangelo Ink. The rest of the recipe is handwritten with a Copic Multiliner.
Next, I stamped one of the cute monsters, colored him with Copics, and cut out a wisk and spatula from the Sugar and Spice Whatnot Die Set. Now he is all set to whip up a batch of these delicious cookies! 🙂
This was so fun and easy to make… wouldn’t this cute recipe card along with a box of cookies make a sweet little gift? Or maybe a nice addition to a dozen cookies for a holiday cookie exchange?
I hope you’ll give the recipe a try!
Thanks for visiting today, and stay tuned for more ABC projects from the team every Monday this month!
