I Spy YNS Saturday – A Fisherman

Summer may be coming to an end in the northern hemisphere, but water themed cards are a year round favorite!

This week we spied a fish (and sequin) filled card by Jenny Dix on Instagram.   Jenny’s card caught our eye with the bold water background.

The clean white layer provides contrast to the water.  It also creates the perfect base for her fisherman from the stamp set Keepin’ It Reel.  What a fun shaker card!  You can find more of Jenny’s creations on her blog Jennifer D.

I Spy YNS Saturday – Gnomies

This week we spied a Gnome filled creation by Jamie Peters on Instagram.

Jamie’s card is colored up wonderfully, with shading and the touches of white.   From the gnomes to the background it all comes together as one adorable scene filled with cuteness.

I Spy YNS Saturday – A Bear

This week we spied a sweet card made by Mandy Stacey.

Mandy’s card features the bear from the Honey Bear stamp set.  Take a close look because there are so many added elements, from stitching and stars to various patterned papers and a bow.   The kraft repeated throughout and on the card base keeps everything grounded.

I Spy YNS Saturday – Phoebe in Yellow

This week’s I Spy is a card created by Tricia Traxler featuring the Phoebe with her Wagon stamp set.   The fact that Tricia writes that she has bonded with Phoebe in her blog post is enough to ellicit an awwwww, plus Phoebe looks great in yellow!

Tricia combined multiple patterns on her card, including adding stripes to Phoebe’s dress.   The bit of green here and there is just enough to break up all that yellow.  Sweetness all around!

I Spy YNS Saturday – Waddles Floating By

This week Tina’s card caught our eye with Waddles floating through the sky surrounded by clouds and a rainbow!

Tina’s water coloring creates softly colored clouds and a subtle background.   She pulls in so many of the stamps from the set Waddles – Rainbow Fun, to create an adorable scene.

This week we spied two critters from the stamp set Woodland Cuties on a card by Natquebec.

What a scene, with the hills and blue splatter filled sky.   The limited color scheme lets the cuties take center stage. There is even a bit of whimsy with the addition of sequins.

I Spy YNS Saturday – A Penguin and Balloons

Happy Saturday!   I hope the sun is shining and you are enjoying your weekend.

This week we spied a creation featuring the Waddles – Happy Brrr-thday stamp set from Toni Maddox on Pinterest.  Birthday_Penguin4

Toni created such a clean and fun card with a glittery base!    Take a closer look at her card, because it is deceptively simple.   The balloons are inlaid along with the #4.   What a wonderful effect with the balloons floating off the card.

I Spy YNS Saturday – Love Tag

This week we spied a clean and simple tag filled with love by Rachel Bergfeld.

Rachel uses a sentiment and the arrow from the stamp set Little Darling Archer.  Stamping the arrow repeatedly fills in the space on the tag.  Topping the tag with jute, adds to the overall natural, clean feel.
