I Spy YNS Saturday – A Grad

This week we spied a graduation card made by dhasuka on Instagram.

2016-05-20_12-22-33

Dhasuka got creative and added a graduation cap to one of the penguins from Waddles Rainbow Fun stamp set.  What a great way to stretch the use of your stamp sets.

Be sure to check out Dhasuka’s gallery on Instagram for more inspiration!

Throwback Thursday – Karen Dedman

Today is our final day of the Design Team Throwback Series.   Who better to end it with than Karen Dedman, the owner of Your Next Stamp???!!!

Karen-Dedman-Side

In Karen’s words:

The idea to start a stamp company began when my sister Robin and I were on maternity leave and began talking almost daily on the phone about our beautiful babies, my son and her two daughters. The conversations started to get fairly lengthy as, not only did we discuss baby stuff, but we had to talk about our ‘healthy addiction’ to stamping and paper crafting!

When my son was born I decided that I needed a change so I left my fitness career to follow my passion for business and stamping. These two passions just seemed to be the perfect match for my new adventure…Your Next Stamp, aka YNS.

The YNS name was born over a dinner party at my parents place. I was really excited about starting up my own stamping business so as we discussed ideas and shared a few laughs my father pipes up and says you should call it ‘Your Next Stamp’. The next day, I did just that.

I truly believe we have found the best illustrators and suppliers out there for our ideas. Everyone we work with has this amazing ability to take these ideas and bring them to life just as we had imagined them. Thank you to our illustrators and also to our manufacturers who take these incredible illustrations and transforms them into ‘Your Next Stamp’ and ‘Your Next Die’!

Your Next Stamp officially launched in August 2009, I am grateful everyday for this wonderful opportunity. Thank you for joining me on this incredible journey, I appreciate your business and hope you make YNS your new home for inspiration and stampy supplies!

When asked which card is her favorite, Karen selected this one because she loves the colors, layout, and how the frog looks like he is stuck to the inside of the circle :o)

YNS Supplies:  Sticky Note stamp set

Here is one of my favorites from Karen.   I chose this one because it is clean and simple and CUTE!   With the wonderful coloring, the toast definitely looks like it just popped out of the toaster.

Normally I would be ending this Throwback post with one of the designer’s first creations, but I am changing it up for Karen.   I wouldn’t say definitively that she threatened me if I posted something she created over 6 years ago, but I am playing it safe!   I definitely want to receive my next stamp package in the mail, so instead of a project, let’s take a look at one of the first stamp sets offered from Your Next Stamp.  HappyDaysMermaids2016-375x382

We hope that you have enjoyed this Throwback series focusing on the design team.   Be sure to let us know if there are other series you would like to see from the team.   We love hearing from you!

I Spy YNS Saturday – Trucks, Aliens and an Astronaut

This week we spied a couple interactive cards created by Jennifer Murnane!

Jennifer really knows how to create a scene.    The trees create a wonderful frame for all 3 trucks from the stamp set Keep on Trucking.DSC_0632

Next is an alien filled creation with a different colored creature popping up at each fold.   The stamp set Space Boy is paired up with rocket patterned paper.DSC_0630

Jennifer’s  cards are perfect for the kiddos, with bright colors and smiling YNS stamps (of course)!
