I Spy YNS Saturday – Hammies

This week we spied a water colored creation on Instagram by Vicki Murray-Moore where she goes by victoriamurray47.

Vicki’s card is full of color and hamsters!ispy

The water colored background is the perfect backdrop for the hamsters from the stamp set Hammie – Coffee and Tea.   Each hamster is colored up wonderfully – how cute are the white dots on each cheek?!

Be sure to check out more cute creations in Vicki’s gallery on Instagram and follow her here:  victoriamurray47.   We even spied photos of some real hamsters there…perhaps inspiration for Vicki’s card?   I hope her own hamsters don’t get in to that much trouble!

We are always on the lookout for creations from YNS’ customers.   Be sure to tag your creations “yournextstamp”.

Throwback Thursday – Tracy Penney

This week we are taking a look at Tracy’s creations since she joined the team in August 2014.

Tracy-Penney-Side

Blog:   This is Me Playing with Paper

When asked which is her favorite card Tracy responded:

I love stamps with books and little nerdy girls that remind me of my daughter. A’dork’able is totally that set for me. It is one of my go to sets to use on cards and craft projects for teachers and my fellow bookworms. I love to use stamps in different ways and on this project I used the darling A’dork’able stamp and the Letter Boards die to decorate a fun notepad holder. This notepad holder was one of my fancier versions with multiple pockets and a decorate pad of paper. I was really happy with how project came together.DSCF7095e
Here is the link to Tracy’s original blog post for more details on this project.

Karen chose this card as her fave because she loves how Tracy fit in the train and cars.  Fab is the first word that came to mind.

Sketch and Color Challenge #36 – Winners

Winner announcement time!

The winner of Challenge #36 is #11, Mon coin Scrap!

The winner of the social media challenge is a card we found on SplitcoastStampers by boysmom_nj!

Each of you have won a $20.00 gift certificate to the Your Next Stamp store.   Congratulations!   Contact Karen via the link at the bottom of the website to claim your prize.

The Top Pick for the challenge is this card created by Kate Dykstra of the blog Small Bits of Paper!

Sunshines and Smiles - SBoP

Gardening Phoebe is set against a half circle with the sun shining down.  The coloring of all the stamps is the first thing that caught our eye, with texture added to the grass and hat.   Notice the coloring on the circle too, with just a bit of yellow on the sun side to represent rays of sun.   This card is definitely full of sunshine and smiles.

Thank you to everyone who played along with our challenge.   A new challenge is going on right now.  Join in the fun for another chance to win.

I Spy YNS Saturday – Woodland Cuties

This week we spied a couple of woodland creatures surrounded by birds on a card created by Tina aka tinneke_th on Instagram.

ispy 16

Tina’s card features a great mix of colors and creatures.   The fox and raccoon from Woodland Cuties take center stage with some of the birds from Word Critters Collections – Spring Birds overhead.  The shading on the animals is wonderful.   Note how the birds pull in the colors from the plaid to tie it all together.  Tina effectively creates a scene without a single tree or hill.

We are always on the lookout for fabulous creations featuring YNS products.   Be sure to tag your photos with #yournextstamp!
