YNS Digi Tips & Tricks

Hello everyone, Brianna here to share another fun digi tips & tricks. Today I am going to share with you all, the way I do my cloud backgrounds when using digital stamps.
I will be using the super sweet digital stamp titled, Chirp, you can find this cutie over in the digital stamp section of the YNS Store.

Materials Needed: Digital Stamp, Distress Ink (I used Tumbled Glass, Tim Holtz),Sponge & Stencil.
You can either hand trace and cut out your stencil or you can find one online. I purchased mine from the Silhouette online store and then cutout on chipboard for a sturdier stencil.

I first of course printed my image and then cut to size. I colored my digi in using my Spectrum Noirs, I will list my colors at the end of post.

Placement of stencil is truly up to you, I like to start at the very top because I like the blue to go off the paper.
1. Place stencil in desired spot
2. Hold stencil down with hand
3. Take sponge and make a brushing motion upwards, working up off the chipboard

Now from this point on all I do is slide down by stencil to desired spot and repeat. I also like to move my stencil either left or right to give a different effect for the clouds, so there are more layers.
To show you what I mean, here is my finished project.

Here she is, isn’t she adorable!? This is such a quick and easy way to do clouds and it cost very little. You don’t need any type of fancy markers, just ink, sponge, stencil and of course a cute digi.
Now as promised here are my colors I used for digi.
Chickie: CT1,CT3,GB4,OR1,OR3
Flowers: PL1,PL2,LV2,LV3,GB4
Egg: BT1-BT4
Grass: CG1,CG2,DG2
Bow: HB1-HB3

Thank you all for stopping by and have a great day!
Brianna
