YNS Challenge #45 – B+W+1

It’s time for YNS Challenge #45 – YAY!

I really have so much fun with these challenges because it forces me to try new techniques and color combos that I may not try without being challenged to do so. It also forces me to stop ‘working’ for a while and take a break to create something which is why I chose this career in the first place…as much as I truly love all aspects of running YNS I really truly LOVE stamping and creating and we all need to take some time for a little creative therapy! Right?

Beth is our hostess with the mostess for Challenge #45 and she has challenged us to use Black and White plus 1 other color! At first I was like EEK! how am I going to only use 1 other color but as I started creating my challenge card I realized how much fun it is working with black and white and decided to go with teal as my color choice plus I snuck in a little (I mean alot) of grey…shhhh don’t tell!

I went with a simple yet elegant style and I must say I’m quite pleased with the results…

I decided to ink up the adorable humming bird from the Humming Bird Beauty stamps set along with the sentiment from the Wishing You Wonderful stamp set. I paired it up with some Echo Park For the Record DP and of course some pearls and gems which I love to use on my cards! You can’t see the pretty shimmer in the photo but the white cardstock is Cryogen White which is a beautiful shimmery cardstock and it’s great for stamping and coloring with Copics! The black cardstock is from the shimmer collection pack – this is a really nice thick cardstock which I love using with my dies and punches.

We would love for you to join us so hop on over to the YNS Challenge Blog for all the details!

Happy Stamping!
