Introducing Our New Digital Design Team!

That’s right!  Your Next Stamp is introducing a brand new digital stamp line on Tuesday, October 1st!  We have put together a new design team of fabulous ladies to create with these adorable new images.  I’m so excited to introduce these talented ladies to you, PLUS they all have tips regarding how they print their digital images!  Let’s get started:

Hi! I’m a former kindergarten teacher who is now a stay at home mom to my 2 little girls. My hubby is supportive of all my crafty pursuits and that says a lot about him because I love all kinds of crafts from making headbands, bows, & designing dresses to making party favors and now cards!! I am a newcomer on the stamping scene and have met so many wonderful crafting friends already thanks to the common joy of card making and coloring with Copic markers. I would color all day long if my family would let me…!! Lol! My favorite colors are the blue greens (affectionately called the BG’s) and I try to sneak them into every card I make!!
I love to get crafty with my girls (ages 8 & 6) and let them color images right along side me. It’s a fun hobby for us all to share!! A sleepover stamp from YNS was one of my very first stamp purchases & I’ve been in love with Fhiona & friends ever since!! I’m thrilled to be joining the YNS Team with this group of fabulously talented ladies & I can’t wait to share my cards with you!!

Nicole’s Digi Tip…

For digis, I always print out a “test print” on regular copy paper and center my image on the page.

I determine what size of card I am going to make and size the image up or down depending on if I will fussy cut it or use a die to cut it out.
I use DP or X-press it blending card and tape a piece of it down over the image with washi tape.
I then run this page through my printer one more time for the desired number of times. I only print out the image one time on X-press it blending card to be colored with copics and a few times with different DP if I am paper piecing. By placing the DP over the desired areas to be cut out, it saves me paper and I can actually use smaller scraps of DP, as well. When I am done with this process, the “test print” copy page goes to my girls to be colored. (Sometimes I need to make 2 copies… so they are both happy!!) 🙂 🙂 🙂
I am a second generation SAHM, which i call SAHGM. (“G” for grandma). I have been watching my grandkids for 7 yrs. I am also going through a second generation of crafting, i have a scrapbook that is almost 60yrs old filled with all of my favorite memories. I’ve been featured in Stamper’s Sampler..more of an artsy card magazine…but my style tends to be “cute”. Card crafting isn’t the only thing i like to do, if i am not working on cards, you’d see me working at my sewing machine, crocheting or trying any new craft technique out there.. i love a challenge..which brings me to say..i can’t wait to see what you all create for the YNS challenges!

Bonnie’s Digi Tip…

Copic X-press it paper w/computer scrap paper and cardboard under the marker paper as I color in case it bleeds through.
I try to print out a full sheet of digis at one time, so I don’t waste the expensive paper.
Or/ and I’ll save the scraps to hand stamp on.

I usually print my images out about 3” tall.
I also hand cut the majority of my images out so a sharp razor thin pointy scissor blade is what I use, literally the blade is barely wider than the line I cut.
When hand cutting ( fussy cutting) I don’t cut “on” the black line but right up to it leaving no white, but making sure the black outside line is visible.
When paper piecing digis, I double side tape designer paper to computer paper and run it through my printer. Beware, it can jam your printer. I find if I tape the designer paper even with the top of the computer paper the printer wheels tend to grab it better.

I’m a former Administrative Assistant turned stay-at-home mom to a very special young lady. I’ve been crafting since I was a young child, and when I became a SAHM I turned to crafting to stay busy. Staying busy making cards, altering items, and just having fun with paper is an amazing hobby that I truly fell in love with. I’m very grateful that I have a husband that supports me, that my son loves seeing my creations as well, and my special young lady enjoys getting into my crafts.

I truly love the challenge of making something beautiful with the various products available to the crafting industry. That is why I am super excited to share my projects featuring the amazing YNS Digital Stamps, and I look forward to seeing your creations as well!

Ruza’s Digi Tip…

I have an Epson WF-3540 inkjet printer, and print my Digital Stamps using the High Quality setting on Neenah Solar White 80# Smooth cardstock. I always print a full page of Digital Stamps at a time. I insert my Digital Stamps into a MS Word document and size them accordingly. It depends on how much detail is on the stamp … from 3″ up to 4″.

I use Copic Markers when coloring my images, whether digital … rubber … or clear, and always place a mat underneath to prevent the markers from getting on my work surface as they do tend to bleed through.

I tend to cut out all of the images that I work with since I like to layer my images, and paper-piece them onto a blank image.

Hello my name is Brianna also know as Happy Scrapper in the crafting world. I am 26 years old, I am married to a wonderful supportive husband of four years and we have an amazing two year old son Jayden. We live in a small northen town called Brainerd which is located in the state of Minnesota.
For the past 7 years, I have been working for our Local UPS Store as store manager and I just love it. When I am not working I am spending time with my family and friends and of course crafting!

I have been passionate about crafting my entire life. My main love of course, is Paper Crafting, specifically card making. I also like to sew, bead and crochet and teach others how to show thier creative sides. I am so honored and privileged to be joining such and awesome group of ladies here at YNS, I can’t wait to get started and share all my creations with you!!

Brianna’s Digi Tip…

When I Print my Digital stamps, I make sure to print in High Quality Grayscale so I can use my alcohol markers. This is a must when using alcohol markers so it won’t smear your ink. After I print them out I like to quickly take my heat gun to it just to make sure the ink is dry before I color then.

Please give these ladies a warm welcome, and I’ll be back tomorrow with some more introductions!  Have a great day!
