Today I am kicking off a new mini-series from the design team…Getting the Most from Our Dies!

I am heading back to the basics with today’s post to remind everyone that the Your Next Stamp dies cut through a lot more than paper.  When was the last time you pulled out your felt?

I decided to create a felt flower embellishment for a card. 

Of course I did not keep it that simple, by attaching the flower to a barrette, I now have a card and gift all in one.  I am all about making my own gifts and love it when I can make use of the craft supplies that I already own.

YNS Ingredients:   Stamps – Ellie Loves Birds and sentiment from Silly Monsters, Ivory Gumdrops, and Dies – Fishtail Die and Journal Card Bracket Insert Die.

I picked up some contour clips at a big box store and attached the felt flower with a few stitches of thread.  The clips have holes that make it easy to do.
