Faves with Guest Anita Madden

Our November guest Anita Madden takes over the YNS Blog today and shares some of her faves!

I’m sharing a couple of favorites with you today.  My favorite technique lately is ink blending.  I love the beautiful backgrounds I can create by using distress inks and distress oxide inks.  I sponged Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet distress oxide inks for this background and then flicked some water from a small paint brush to create the lighter spots.  Another favorite of mine is Christmas cards!  They’re one of my favorite kinds of cards to create so I couldn’t resist using the adorable Home For The Holidays set to make today’s card.

That’s adorable. I hadn’t thought of adding the sky that way. It would have worked perfectly on the birthday card I made yesterday. And adding the snow on the birdhouse? Fantastic!
