The card we spied this week will leave you feeling warm and cozy!
Tricia Traxler has created the sweetest card featuring an assortment of patterned paper and darling Hot Cocoa Phoebe. Adding in the paper pieced mug really allows the focus to stay on Phoebe.
Once again, Tricia is whipping up magic with water colors!

Happy Saturday everyone… today is the last day of our 12 Days of Gift Giving series here at Your Next Stamp.
We’ve been showing you so many fun and creative ways to use the dies from YNS. I don’t know about you but I’ve learned some new ways to use the dies and I discovered dies that I must add to my collection now as well!
I have two projects using the Takeout box die. I first cut the box from some red card stock and then I die cut the pattern papers for the sides.
Then you want to assemble the sides if you are using patterned papers and then assemble the box. I used Scor-Tape but any type of strong adhesive you have will work.
Then you just fill the box with candy or trinkets and fold over the top.
I created a second box but left the flaps open and added a Gift card.. then using one of the dies that are included I created a name plate. I think this would look cute as a place setting or even party favors.
So what will you do with the Takeout Box die? Thanks for joining us for our 12 Days of Gift Giving Series… We hope we’ve inspired you.

Hello Stamping Friends!
Time once again for some fun with Your Next Stamp products!!!
Have you been following the blog the last few days? We are doing a design team series titled “12 Days of Gift Giving”! Today it’s my turn! I’m so excited to share my project with you!I am featuring the Pillow Box Die! I really enjoy using dies like this to create sweet little gifts.
I started out by die cutting the box:
When I cut my pillow box I just grabbed a piece of cardstock I liked, not realizing at the time, it was a perfect fit for my idea, as you will see later!
I then used the die cut layer for the top of the box:
I adhered the two pieces together.
Here is where I thought for a little bit. As I wanted to alter this idea, to change up the die a little bit, to show you more uses.
So I decided to use the Stitched Rectangle Die Set, to create an opening in my Pillow Box, so you could see what was inside.
I then added a piece of acetate on the inside of the box to create a window:
How fun!!
I originally had planned to fill this pillow box with candy, so here is a look with it filled up:
It’s now ready to be embellished!!
But in thinking, I decided it would create a perfect gift card holder as well! I love creating my own gift card holders, as I don’t care for the boring ones in the store!
So here’s a look at my finished pillow box:
I love the scene this creates as well! The pillow box acts as a frame!
The “Season’s Greeting” sentiment is part of the Freezy the Snowmanstamp set!
As I mentioned earlier, I used a piece of double sided paper…
When you slide the gift card out, you can see the other side of the paper inside! So the inside of my box is decorated as well!!
It’s those small things that I get a kick out of!!

Welcome to DAY 8 of the Your Next Stamp 12 Days of Gift Giving! The YNS Design Team has been sharing gift ideas each day so far in December. If you have missed any then be sure to scroll back to December 1st, when Thanh started off the series with a fun way to decorate gift bags.
Today, I am sharing how the YNS Pocket Die can be used to create a bi-fold wallet that you can fill with candy, a gift card, money, tea bags, or other small items.
Card Stock (1 – 8 1/2″ x 11″ sheet is large enough to cut out 2 pockets and the strip to attach the pockets together)
Lace
Patterned Paper
Embroidery Floss
Strong Tape or Glue
_______________________
Step 1 – Cut out 2 pockets using the Pocket Die. Fold on score lines, use strong tape to adhere pocket flap down.
Step 2 – Cut out a strip of card stock 6.5″x 2.5″. Score at 3.125″, 3.25″, and 3.325″. The goal is to create a wider crease area that softens and bends easily like a book binding.
Step 3 – Adhere 2.5″ x 6.5″ strip of paper to back of pockets. Line pockets up, leaving an 1/8″ gap. Using strong tape adhere strip as shown. With the strip narrower than the pockets it will be easier to cover with other paper.
Step 4 – Decorate the outside and the inside. 3 x 3.5″ patterned paper was used for the Noel patterned paper on the outside and a corner rounder was used on one edge. The Mini Gingerbread Boy and Girl were die cut out and then inked up slightly before gluing on the burgundy embellishments.
On the inside, the swirls from the Pocket Die Set were layered over patterned paper. The insert card was created with a 3 x 3.5″ piece of card stock.
Step 5 – Fill the pockets with goodies and spread the holiday cheer!
Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to stop back tomorrow for DAY 9 of the Your Next Stamp 12 Days of Gift Giving.
