Ushii’s Christmas Cookie Jar

Today, we are sharing a final Christmas project from guest Ushii! Yesterday, we mentioned that we may have saved the best project for last. All of Ushii’s creations are amazing, but this one is beyond amazing!

This project was on my “To-do” list for almost two years! I had an old cookie jar with a music box and wanted to create my own Christmas scene on it. When I saw the Santa Express and the Santa Express Train Carts stamp sets I knew I wanted to use them for this project! Then, the Santa Express Train Carts Two set was released – you guessed it, I just had to have it too, of course!

It was so much fun to stamp all these images and color them, you know? I adhered them to my background and decided I need some more sweetness 😀 That is when I added in my favourite birds from the Holiday Wreaths set and reindeer from the Santa’s Magical Sleigh set.

I’m really happy with the result – this cookie jar will decorate my home for Christmas for sure!

Want to see the cookie jar in motion? Be sure to visit Ushii’s YouTube as she has a video of her musical cookie jar!

Do you like gingerbread cookies? I love (and bake) them a lot! And I love creating cards with them, too 🙂 So I fell in love with the Sweet Holiday Greetings set, of course!

It’s so easy to create a joyful and sweet card with this set, isn’t it? This mug is just awesome! Every time I look at it, I want to drink some cocoa 😀

The sentiment is from the Santa Express Train Carts set, and a peppermint candy is from the Santa Express set.

Christmas in July with Ushii

Today we are welcoming back frequent guest Ushii! This time around, Ushii is getting us ready for the holidays with a few Christmas projects! The phrase Christmas in July is a popular one and with creations from Ushii, there is amazing inspiration guaranteed!

I’m Ushii and I’m super excited to be a guest designer for Your Next Stamp!
Who am I? A crafty girl, trying to find a happiness in every moment of life  I live in Poland and I’m an architect. As far as I remember, I’ve always loved to design, create, alter, paint, sew something… Ten years ago I discovered scrapbooking and cardmaking with all the colorful papers, embellishments and cute stamps – and I fell in love! I usually have five ideas at the same time, I love to try new techniques, new things and visit new places … and besides, I love good company, good wine and good books
My favorite tools are Copics, Zig Clean Color markers and watercolors, as I love coloring stamps! But I like funny dies and stencils a lot, too. My projects are usually sweet, colorful and joyful.

There’s no place like home for the holidays!

This card is a combination of a few stamp sets. I used the beautiful door stamp from the Deck the Halls set and created a snowy scene with some stamps from two other sets. The snowman is from the Santa Express Train Carts set and the birds are from the Holiday Wreaths set. I must admit I love these birds and use them a lot in non-Christmas cards!

I stamped everything with a very light ink and colored it with the no-line technique. To add dimension, I adhered some parts of the door and other card elements with 3d foam tape. At the end, I stamped the sentiment from the Home for the Holidays set and added white paint splatters to make my card look like winter with snow.

Lots of Love with Ushii

Ushii Landia, one of our April guests, is sharing her final card for the month. This one is full of love, featuring Ushii’s signature style! It is also a great example of how to combine stamp sets, as there are critters from 3 different stamp sets on Ushii’s card.

Today I want to show you a card with the cute mouse from the So Mush Fun set. I combined it with a deer from the Oh, Deer! set and birds from the Holiday Wreaths set.

All critters were colored in no-line technique with Zig markers. I blended my background with two Distress Oxide inks and stamped a sentiment in brown from the So Mush Fun set… and my card was ready!

Thank you Ushii for joining us again this month! We always enjoy having you as a guest and your creativity is always inspiring!

Easter Sweetness with Ushii

Our April Guest, Ushii Landia is sharing more Easter inspiration with you today. This time around it is a card and it is full of sweetness (and eggs)!

—–

I just love these chickens from Hey Chickie! stamp set and can’t stop using them for my Easter cards every year! This time I mixed them with the basket from Easter Basket stamp set.

At first I planned it to be an interactive card, but when I laid my colored critters on a card base it looked so sweet that I didn’t want to change anything 😀

Easter Eggs by Ushii

Want to try something new this year with your Easter eggs?  Ushii Landia  is back with her second project this month and she continues to get you ready for Easter.

Today I have the easiest and simplest Easter egg decoration for you – just grab your Fun Faces stamp set (and Fun Faces 2 as well) and stamp on hard boiled eggs with hybrid ink! How fun is that??

No need to pull out dye and dip your eggs, the supplies in your craft room will work out perfectly! Although, you could dye the eggs first and then stamp.

One safety note…make sure the ink does not get absorbed by the egg shell and bleed in to your hard boiled egg.

Today I want to share my sweet chocolate Easter egg treat boxes made from the Mini Popcorn Box Die.

I just masked some parts of paper, using stencils and masking tape, and blended out with pink and yellow inks.

Then I assembled my baskets and added chickens from the Hey Chickie! set (all colored in no-line technique).

And that’s it, I’m going to use them as a table decoration – one basket with chocolate eggs for every guest 🙂

Christmas Magic with Ushii

Guest Ushii Landia is back with one more creation for the month. This time around she shares how to create a bit of sweet Christmas magic!

The Gingerbread House Die set is perfect for building Christmas houses! Start by cutting out all the dies from white cardstock. Then add a scored strip of cardboard to connect all the pieces in to a 3D shape.

Watercolor some elements in red, pink and light blue, and decorate the house with some clay hearts and a snowflake.

To add some interest color one of the sweet fawns from Santa’s Magical Sleigh stamp set using the no-line technique. I always use a teeny tiny watercolor brush to paint my critters. To make the house even more of a showpiece, create a small cupcake stand. Cut the pieces from cardboard and add a border using the Dripping Goo Die. It gives the appearance of icicles or a gingerbread cake frosting 🙂

A Peek a Boo Invite from Ushii

Guest Ushii Landia has been celebrating and we all benefit! She is back today with more inspiration from her unicorn party!

It’s Ushii and today am sharing a simple peek-a-boo birthday party invitation featuring the Magical Ponies stamp set.

On the front of my cards I stamped the Starburst Background set. Then I cut out a star creating peek-a-boo window. To add some interest I adhered a few embossed stars and made sparkle dots with a clear Gelly Roll Stardust gel pen. The dots are hardly visible in the photos, but they blink and shimmer so beautifully in person!

I did no-line water coloring with the stamp set Magical Ponies. Then added each unicorn to inside the invitations, using 3D squares for dimension.

At the end I added a simple closing band and my invitations were ready to fill in 🙂

Do you remember my interactive carousel card from July? {check it out here} It was for my daughter’s unicorn and carousel horses themed birthday party.

I planned a unicorn cake and wanted cupcakes to match it. So I decorated them with unicorns, ponies and carousel horses!

I used stamps from Magical Ponies, Magical and Magnificent, and Spin and Twirl stamp sets.

Each is colored using the no-line style and adhered to the pink paper straws with tiny 3D squares. Simple, but elegant!

We will have more inspiration from Ushii each Wednesday through the end of the month! Can’t wait until next week? Check out some of her previous guest creations HERE.
