Hi there, my name is Samantha and you can find me posting on my corner of the internet at Instagram – @samjolden and my website sams-studio.ca. Some of my favourite things in life are photography, baking cookies (to eat of course), family pizza and movie night, visiting and exploring new places and of course card making. I was introduced to card making by my bestie, of well over 30 years, about 5 years ago and I haven’t looked back.

I love this hobby because it never gets dull, there is always a new technique or fun new stamp set to use and when your finished creating you have a little piece of you, that you can give to someone else.

Even though I love to try new stuff I do have some favourite techniques I tend to fall back on; love love my distress inks and masking never gets old. I look forward to where this hobby will take me in the future and very excited that Your Next Stamp has given me the chance to share some of my creativity with all of you. Happy crafting everyone!

You can’t help but look at this monkey and smile. He is so cheeky, which is what made me want to do a fun colourful background. I never tire of creating with regular or oxide distress inks, they never disappoint. Which is why I think they are a favourite for me to use in my craft room.  I seem to go through phases as to which one I prefer to create with regular or oxide distress ink.  Oxide I find creamy and softer where as regular inks tend to be brighter. And this monkey screams bright. Since I ended up with 2 coloured cheeky monkeys I decided in addition to creating a card I would also pull together a tag. Add some bright colour wrapping paper and you have a great little gift wrapping gift set for someone. 

To add some extra fun to the card, I made the monkey wobble and wiggle by attaching him with an action wobbler.
