Whatcha Watching?

Hi all!  It’s Maureen here for our latest installment of Whatcha Watching?  Today I thought I’d share a watercolored card using the popular Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  It’s got a lot of detailed information that can be helpful for beginners, but also talks about the markers, in case you’re interested.  Here’s my card:

And here’s a close shot of the watercoloring of the deer:

Whatcha Watching?

Hi all!  It’s Maureen here for another installment of Whatcha Watching?  Today I have a video about making a shaker card, but it’s not just about how to make a shaker card.  There’s also a tip about how to make a frame for a shaker with almost any dies you already have – you don’t need special shaker dies/frames!  And you only have to run it through your machine once!  Here’s the finished card:

WordCrittersSpringBirds1

I used the Stitched Rectangles and Scrapworks – Mini Sunburst to make the frame, and then decorated with birds using the Word Critters Collection – Spring Birds stamps and matching dies.

Here’s the video:

I hope you like it and that you’ll join me again next week for more Whatcha Watching?

DT Q and A: Maureen and Whatcha Watching?

Hi all!  It’s Maureen here for another installment of the Design Team Q&A and also Whatcha Watching?
 Me
1. Tell us about your family and where you live.

I live on the island of Oahu in Hawaii with my hubby, 2 young sons, and 2 dogs.  I am a SAHM and love it!

2. When did you join YNS?

I have actually been with YNS since the very beginning!  I was so lucky to be on the first YNS DT!  I did take some time off here and there for personal reasons, but have been here pretty much all along!

3. What are your favorite YNS images?

I love them all, but my favorites are definitely the stamps and dies I designed, like the Scrapworks – Mini Sunburst die set, Scripty Words die set, Scripty Word Die Sentiment Set, and Flourishes stamp set.  There are many others, but I don’t want to list everything here! 🙂

4. What is your favorite color combo?

I’m not sure if it’s really a color combo, but I absolutely love the look of white on kraft!  Here’s my card:

SprinklesCoffeeTea1

And because it’s Whatcha Watching Wednesday, here’s the video on the making of my card:
And here’s THE LINK if you can’t see the video player above.
Here’s a list of products I used for my card:
Thanks for joining me today and I hope to see you all back next Wednesday for more Whatcha Watching.

Whatcha Watching?

Hi all!  It’s Maureen here for another installment of Whatcha Watching?  Today I have a short video with ideas on making the cutest mini shaped cards:

MiniShapedCards1

For the first card, I used Flower Fun Three and patterned paper, and for the second card, I used Dino-Mite! and the matching dies and colored with Spectrum Noir colored pencils. Here’s the video:

And here’s THE LINK in case you can’t see the video player.

Your Next Stamp has LOTS of stamps with matching die sets and you can find them HERE.  I also mention using stand alone die sets.  You can find all dies HERE (which includes the dies with matching stamps).

I hope you like my ideas for mini shaped cards!  If you make any, please leave a comment so we can check them out!  I’ll be back in two weeks for more Whatcha Watching?  ~Maureen
