Whatcha Watching?

Hi all and Happy New Year’s Eve!  It’s Maureen here to bring you another weekly installment of Whatcha Watching?  This week I have a brand new card and video to share:

Lovestruck2a Lovestruck2b

In case you haven’t seen one before, this is a tent card.  It folds flat for mailing, then stands up nicely for display.

I used the Lovestruck stamp set and matching dies, as well as the Heart Doily die set.  Here’s the video on the making of the card:

I hope you like it and thanks for joining me!  I hope to see you back here in 2 weeks for another Whatcha Watching Wednesday.  I’ll be taking a break next week since it’s our January New Release Day.  ~Maureen

Whatcha Watching?

Hi all! Happy Christmas Eve to those of you that celebrate it! It’s Maureen here for my weekly installment of Whatcha Watching?  I made this card for our monthly Feature Day post and I filmed the making of it.  SnowFun2

I used the Houses on a Hill die, the Snowfall stamp set, and  the sentiment is from Waddles – Snow Fun.   In the video, I show a little trick for lining up and cutting the Houses on a Hill die so that it looks right.

Hope you enjoy the video and we’ll see you next week for another installment of Whatcha Watching Wednesday!

Whatcha Watching?

Hi all!  It’s Maureen here and today is the start of a new weekly series called Whatcha Watching?  I will be posting every Wednesday unless there is some special event (like the DT Dare) on the blog.  Basically I’ll be sharing videos that I posted that you might have missed.  Either little tip videos or full start to finish project videos.  I hope to see you here every Wednesday!

So I’m seeing a lot of “out of stock” signs in the store – I’m guessing you all loved that last release, huh?  Yup, I loved everything and I had a ton of fun playing!

One item that I especially loved was the Gingerbread House Die Set.  It has a lot of cute pieces to put together a custom gingerbread house.  Here’s a video introducing the set and a couple tips for when you’re using the set:

Here’s a card I made (opened up) with the Gingerbread die set and also Sweet Holiday Greetings and the matching dies:

SweetHolidayGreetings1c

I’m not sure if it’s been done before, but I decided to call mine a Stair Step Surprise Easel Card, and here’s basically how I put it together:

Next up, I have a technique video about White Outline Embossing.  I have a particular way that I like to do it with people and animals – I do their face features in black ink and then don’t white emboss over them.  Here’s an example:

Crystal1

And here’s how I do it:

And finally I have a card I made for the Sketch and Color Challenge #2:

HolidayCheers2b

And here’s the start to finish video on the making of it:

Whew!  That’s a lot to watch!  From now on, since I’ll be posting almost every week, I’ll probably only have 1 or 2 videos per week.

Hopefully you enjoy what I have for this week!  Thanks for reading/watching and I’ll see you back here next Wednesday!

It was made with Sea Creatures Set One, Sea Creatures Set One Die Set, Sea Creatures Set Two, and Sea Creatures Set Two Die Set.

And in case you missed it, I did a video using the Large Spinner/Slider Die set to make this card:

GobbleGobble1

I hope you enjoy our videos and there will be more to come!  If there’s anything you’d like to see, please leave me a comment and I’ll see what I can do! ;)  ~Maureen

April Video Recap

Hi all!  It’s Maureen here today with a new feature that I’ll be sharing monthly on the YNS blog – a video recap.  In case you missed it, YNS has a YouTube channel and we’d love for you to subscribe to our channel and watch/like our videos!
In April, I did a video called Layering Diecuts for Interest which showed how to layer multiples of the same YNS diecuts to get different effects.
I also showed the YNS April new releases, and a more detailed video on the Flower Fun Dies.
Although it wasn’t uploaded in April, I also wanted to point out the Tear Away Tab Die video, which coordinates with a new set released in April – the Pull Tab Sentiments.
I hope this little recap helps you find some YNS videos that you may have missed in the past month.  Remember to subscribe to our YouTube channel so you don’t miss anything!
BTW, if there’s anything you’d like to see videos for, please leave a comment and I’ll see what I can do!  ~Maureen
