Sketch and Color Challenge #17 – More Inspiration

Hi Everyone!

We are back with more inspiration for challenge #17.  You have until July 9th at midnight EST to play along.  One random participant will win a $15.00 gift certificate to the YNS Store, plus if the winner uses YNS products on their creation they will receive an additional $5.00 on their gift certificate.

Did you check out the challenge yet?  Each challenge always has a sketch and a color combo to choose from.   The colors and sketch change for each new challenge.

Sketch #17 is full of rectangles.

If you use the sketch feel free to swap out shapes or rotate; so long as we can see the basic sketch was your inspiration.

The colors for #17 contain purple, greens and yellow as well as grey.

If you choose the color combo, be sure to use at least 3 colors and feel free to add in neutrals.  The names of the colors are based on Bazzill cardstock, but substitute whatever you have that is close to it.

Sketch and Color Challenge #16 – Winner!

I Spy YNS Saturday – A Hockey Player

While out and about this week, we came across a patriotic card made by Irene Rhodes that features the stamp Darius.  Darius is a hockey player and with Canada Day next Wednesday it is perfect timing for this cutie!!!Dandi93_Canadadayinspired2_by_DandI93

Irene created such an interesting background using a grid stencil along with the YNS maple leaf die as a stencil.   So creative and what a great effect!  All the details on Irene’s card can be found HERE.

Today our new challenge starts and before I get to that I want to mention that today is also the last day to take advantage of the 20% off sale in the Your Next Store.

So are you ready for the new challenge?

You have until July 9th at midnight EST to play along.  As we head in to the weekend hopefully you have some crafting time set aside.  Each challenge has a sketch and a color combo to choose from, which will be your inspiration?

I Spy Saturday – Yummy Treats

The project spied this week is a yummy one!

Natalie Murdock of the blog Simply Sweet Stamping created treat bags to share her butter tarts.   Each bag is topped by a YNS Treat Topper with a chalkboard on it.   The chalk adds fun and a personal touch – such a great idea!   The toppers also feature the banner and “no nuts” symbol from the Baking Buddies Stamp and Die Sets.   The mix of YNS products results in a wonderful presentation of tasty treats!buttercut1
