Popping with Excitement

Did you see all the amazing creations our September release guest Allison Arbour shared?! We thought you might like to learn a little more about Allie. Plus, when she offered to make another project, of course we said ‘yes’!

Thank you Allie for joining us again today.

Here is Allie with more…

I’ve been crafting for years and after dabbling in all sorts, from dollhouses to jewelry, I settled on cards and have been happy hanging out in the paper world ever since.
I’m a mom of one awesome son who gave me a even more awesome grand baby.   I love animals, big, little, it doesn’t matter, I love them all.  At present I have 4 cats and one pot bellied pig who keep me entertained when I’m not crafting or getting grand baby snuggles.  I like to spend my free time watching Netflix or outside in nature in leggings, with coffee for both of course.

I am so excited to be able to share a cute project using some Your Next Stamp goodness. For this card I made a fun circle card using the super cute Hammie Sweetness Overload Stamp Set

To create the card base use a circle die on a folded card base. Leave the top of the circle slightly overhanging above the score line. Run through die cutting machine.

I started by ink blending a panel using distress oxide inks and splattering with picket fence oxide ink.

I used both the Star Circle Frame Die and Circles With Stitching And Piercing Marks Die Set to cut from the ink blended panel.

Next I used a scallop circle die cut in white card stock and glued the large inked circle panel directly on top.

Using a smaller white scalloped circle frame I attached the small Star Circle Frame Die cut directly on top with glue and added to my card base with foam tape to create more dimension.

I coloured and cut hammie and attached him to the card with an action wobbler and glued down popcorn pieces.(when he wobbles it’s like he is spilling them)

I finished the card with a sentiment and added the card base to the back of my rainbow stack.

I hope you enjoyed my take on a fun mini circle card.

Crafty hugs,

Allie

Great to meet you & learn more about you. I’ve just become a Grandma too, aren’t those snuggles the best ! Loving the colour combination on your piece, the way you’ve used the wobbler to get such an effective look. Thank you for the inspiration x
