I decided to use Keep Fit Fhiona and Keep Fit Accessories for my card. I think this stamp is so adorable!

Happy New Year!

I hope you had a wonderful New Year’s Eve! It was pretty low key here as Chris had to work and Brandon passed out at 8 pm so I just chilled and watched some TV and got caught up on some work stuff.

I’m excited for the New Year as it’s filled with lots of wonderful events like ScrapFest and CHA and that means lots and lots of yummy new stamps!!! YAY!!! Be sure to mark your calendars and join us for a HUGE new release blog hop on Jan 7th and then stay tuned for my amazing CHA release! I’ve been keeping this release a secret for way to long now and I can’t wait for you to these this fabulous new collection designed by the very talented Fhiona Galloway! That’s all I’m going to say about that, for now anyway *grin*

As for today…I’ve been busy cleaning up the office and I found lots of unmounted rubber from the days before YNS stamps came mounted on cling sooooo I’ve decided to start a clearance bin at the YNS store to clear out the unmounted stock. There are some super fantastic deals with very limited quantities so scoop up these fabulous stamps while you can! Holiday Cards

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! I’ve been busy with my last minute ‘to do’ list before the big day! Brandon is so excited and keeps asking if Santa has been here yet…it’s so cute! We took him to the mall to see Santa and he asked for a train set so let’s hope that Santa pulls through and leaves a train under the tree. What’s the hot item that your kids or grand kids are asking for this year?

I’ve got a few cards designed by the talented Kimber McGray – thank you for sending these to me Kimber! She has inked up the the fabulous Happy Holidays Collection and created these stunning cards…

YNS Challenge #32 – Let’s PARTY!

Happy Holidays! It’s time for YNS Challenge #32 and I’m your lovely hostess for this special 3 week holiday challenge. YAY! Since we are in the heart of the holiday season and this challenge runs into the New Year I decided to make our theme Let’s Party! You can make a card, party favor, invitation…really anything party related. You should see all the FABULOUS creations the DT came up with…my gals are so talented!

I decided to make a fun party favor with a matching card. It’s a really simple set to make and be easily duplicated so you can make lots of them in a short period of time…

I used the mini snowman stamp for the jar topper and then the larger snowman stamp for my card. I love that the set is matching which is just another reason why I LOVE the YNS mini stamps! My jar is filled with buttons but you could put candy or anything small in your jar – YUMMY!

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells

Jingle all the way, oh what fun it is to…ok I won’t sing anymore cause trust me if you could here me you would be begging me to stop! LOL Now Brandon on the other hand…he can carry an adorable little tune and Jingle Bells just happens to be his favorite holiday song. Lately our home and car has been blasting holiday tunes which inspired me to ink up this fabulous stamp Rockin’ Christmas Tree.
I just love how this card turned out…

YNS Challenge #31 – CAS Christmas

It’s time for YNS Challenge #31 – YIPPEE!

Jenny is our fabulous hostess and she has challenged us to create Clean And Simple Christmas cards! I loved this challenge because when you have to make a lot of cards and you are short on time CAS is definitely the way to go plus I just love the elegance and beauty of CAS cards. Jenny is our queen of CAS! Be sure to check out her blog for lots of CAS inspiration.

I decided to use the sentiment from the Light up the Holidays stamp set for my CAS card…

I added just a touch of colour with Copic markers along with some yummy twine. The sparkle around the edges of the tag is diamond glitter.

Fun with gems

Just a quick post today to share a CAS card I made using the Bazzill Gem Templates…these are so fun to work with and you can use them for paper piercing as well if you don’t want to make shapes with gems. I finished the card off with the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Christmas Tree Baubles cling set which just happens to be on sale too!

Also I know I’ve completely MIA lately…sorry about that! December is such a busy month plus I’ve been working hard at planning for CHA! Yep, that’s right! YNS is exhibiting at CHA this January plus I’m one of the sponsors for the Canadian Mega Sampler workshop!!! I’m soooo excited!!! If you are going to CHA this year please stop by my booth for a visit – booth #4536.
