Best Fishes!
Happy Friday all,
Happy Friday all,
Hello friends!
I hope everyone had a fabulous Easter! We had so much fun visiting family and Brandon always has a blast playing with all his little cousins. Before I get to my challenge card I just had to share this adorable photo of Brandon and I hunting Easter eggs…check out the cute bunny ears :o)
It’s time for another YNS Challenge – YAY! Crystal is our wonderful hostess for YNS Challenge #41 and she has challenged us to use a charm on our card or project. I love charms and seem to stash them more than use them – oops!
If you don’t have any charms here are a few ideas the DT came up with…you could make your own from sparkly cardstock or emboss a cut out with silver or gold embossing powder, you could dangle a pretty button or bead off your card or even make one from play clay – FUN!
I was excited to look through my charm stash and decided to use a flower charm for my card today. I paired it up with one of my favorite stamp sets by Heather Rolin – Happiness. I LOVE this set – the flowers make really fun DP and the sentiments are perfect for so many different cards and scrapbook pages – the possibilities are endless!
Thank you for stopping by and commenting on the fabulous and fun April new release blog post! The DT did a fantastic job showcasing the new stamps! Thanks ladies!
The winner of the new release prize package is…
#16 – Lynne in NI
Congrats! Please contact me karen@yournextstamp.com to claim your prize.
I’d also like to say Happy Easter! We are off to my parents house today for a fun filled day and then off to my in laws tomorrow for another great day – YAY! I hope your weekend is filled with family and friends too!
Here is one of many Easter cards I made using Dale’s Butterfly Easter Basket…
This stamp was so much fun to color and I just had to pair it up with one of my new favorite paper collections – Echo Park Springtime.
Until next time!
Happy Stamping
I used paper from my Prima Madeline dp. The image is colored with copics. I also added spanish moss to the nest for texture. The bird on the front is cut out with the Petite Ovals Spellbinders and my Spellbinders Grand Caliber. The sentiment is computer generated. The inside sentiment is cut out with the Spellbinders Labels 21. In addition to my stitching, I added some hand drawn doodled faux stitching.
This card also fits this week’s challenge: Texture it with the added Spanish Moss and the dry embossing. You too can join us for the YNSC40 challenge. There is still 5 days to go until the challenge ends, just link your creation here.
Thanks for stopping by!! Have a great day!!
Hi everybody! It’s Maureen and from now on I’ll be posting here on the YNS Blog on the Sundays after the new challenge is posted. Here’s my card for today:
Since it’s almost Easter, I decided to use Easter Bunny Fhiona, this time actually leaving her as a bunny. But I did have to have some fun, so I made her dressed as a chocolate bunny!
I stamped Fhiona on a white cardstock circle and colored her face and basket with Copics and colored pencils/odorless mineral spirits. Then I paper pieced the bunny outfit on some (fittingly) Bo Bunny patterned paper and cut the pieces out, gluing them over the stamped image. BTW, the outfit was shaded with colored pencils and OMS also.
Finally I added a sentiment that comes with Fhiona and a couple little heart eggs from the Hoppy Easter Accessories set.
Just a quick reminder of a couple challenges going on:
I hope you like my card and will play along with either or both challenges! ~Maureen
