Hi everyone! I’m back today to share my project for the 12 days of gifts series that Your Next Stamp is having.
For my project today I made a card with a built in gift card holder. I know a lot of people are giving gift cards at the holidays-it’s such an easy way to say you care-and this just amps it up a little!

Today’s card is a fun and interactive card. I created it by making a shaker that looked like a snow globe. I cut a half of an oval from this stitched rectangle piece with the Stitched Ovals die. I only did half, and then trimmed the piece away with my scissors. To create the base I die cut three of the stitched rectangles from the Stitched Stripe Panel die from some brown card stock. I layered them and glued them at the base of the half oval. I also wanted a little snow mound for the gingerbread house to sit on, so I grabbed a scrap of white card stock and die cut a partial circle for that. Once my shaker and snow globe portion was put together and attached to the card base I added some more little touches.

I die cut the Snowflake Panel die from white card stock and added some glitter paste to make them really sparkle. The were attached to the card with a liquid adhesive. I also added some stickles dots, and heat embossed the sentiment from Holiday Mice. Then, I stamped out the gingerbread image to color with my Copics. The outside of my card was complete and it was time to create the gift card holder!

To create the gift card holder for the inside, I took one of my pre cut pieces of card stock. I have 4 1/4 by 11 pieces of white card stock on hand for card bases. It was also scored in the middle already, at 5 1/2. I folded it, and trimmed off about 4 inches. Then I used my score board to create a crease 1 1/2 inches from the center fold. I used the Stitched Oval again to die cut a partial oval from the folded piece, making sure not to over lap the second fold. It makes a little more sense when you see the picture!

Then I added some strong adhesive to the parts that would be touching the card base, and my gift card holder was complete! I just love how when the recipient of this card opens this a gift card will be waiting for them, popped up and pretty!
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today! I hope you enjoyed my gift card creation. This is such a fun way to jazz up a gift card for the holidays.

Happy Stamping!

We will see you back here tomorrow for Day Three with Kerri Michaud.
